New & Notable is a cultural catchall that highlights interesting new products and projects from our brilliantly creative members of The List. With new releases, events, and goings-on, the below moments indicate the power they have to move the needle in so many realms, including architecture, design, fashion, and art.
This summer saw Henrybuilt expand to Los Angeles with a new showroom located in the city’s arts district. The 4,000-square-foot space is open by appointment and features each of the company’s architecturally-integrated storage systems and standalone furniture pieces.

With the July opening of his exhibition at Chateau la Coste in Provence, multidisciplinary artist Idris Khan celebrates his first solo exhibition in France. The 24 new watercolors and three large paintings by the artist are on view at the Chateau’s Richard Rogers Drawing Gallery. “Showing my work in the late Richard Roger’s last completed building is a moving experience for me,” said Khan, whose exhibition explores the passage of time.

Glossier’s newest store opened this week in Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown neighborhood. Designed by Kendall Latham, the cosmetic brand’s director of retail design, the interiors are an homage to the golden age of air travel with an antique-inspired letter board and abstract cloud motifs. Like all of the beauty brand’s stores, the Georgetown location has a selfie station for its devoted fans—this one is styled as an airplane window with a sunset vista beyond the glass.

Having proved their ability to elevate lighting design to art, Anony has now turned its attention to tableware with the launch of the Stone collection. Available in either travertine or volcanic stone, the collection features stackable vessels that double as customizable sculptures.

II by IV Design
Central Park, an ambitious residential development in Toronto, is currently anchored by a presentation and sales pavilion by local studio II by IV Design. The pavilion showcases the firm’s scheme for the forthcoming residences, which will be joined by an expansive urban park and commercial spaces. As part of its focus on energy efficiency and the environment, once the project is completed the sales pavilion will transform into a cultural center to serve the residents of Central Park.

With the recently launched Marine speaker, Steinway & Sons gives the outdoor audio category a serious upgrade. Four woofers overcome the challenges posed by outdoor acoustics and fill terraces, yachts, or anything in between with crisp, clear sound.

Detroit-based interior design studio Pophouse is putting the finishing touches on The Ace, a pop-up clubhouse designed for the PGA’s Rocket Mortgage Classic golf tournament. The space will serve as a retreat from the sun and heat, providing a stylish lounge from which guests can fuel up on the Detroit Golf Club’s culinary offerings and find a quiet corner to relax and regroup.

French visual artist Pierre Charpin has collaborated with storied French crystal maker Saint-Louis on Cadence, a new collection of fine crystal spanning barware, tabletop, and lighting products. Though each object is distinct, the collection itself is a study of connection—the horizontal and vertical lines from Charpin’s sketches permeate the final design of each piece.

Sawyer & Company
Interior design firm Sawyer & Company is celebrating the opening of their latest project: the Hyatt Centric Buckhead hotel, just outside of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Elements throughout the property nod to the legacy of clay ceramics in the region, including the lobby’s pottery wall installation by American artist John Johnson and an installation by Quebec-based artist Claire Desjardins in the elevator cab.
